Greenwich Research and Innovation (GRI) are seeking to recruit a Research Contracts Officer within our Contracts and IP Services Team . This important role will support the accurate and timely execution of research and knowledge exchange contracts as well as providing initial advice in respect of the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property arising from academic research and knowledge exchange.
You will be part of a team that is responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating all research and knowledge exchange contracts on behalf of the University. With a background in contract negotiation and a sound understanding of matters relating to the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property, you will bring a highly collaborative approach and a strong customer focus that aims to generate benefit for all parties. You will advise and support academic staff throughout the contracting process and contribute to the broader understanding of contracting and IP matters at the University of Greenwich.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent, you will have excellent communication skills, be well-organised with the ability to multi-task to work well as part of a busy and connected team. You will be a self-starter and enjoy the challenges of a fast-moving environment in which you can make a difference. Experience working in a research or knowledge exchange support capacity within the UK Higher Education sector would be advantageous and be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and other software such as Adobe Acrobat.
